Deaf Children’s Family Day 2018

Do you have a child who has difficulty hearing? Would you just like to know more about how ears work? Traditionally Forth Valley Deaf Children’s Society has organised a Deaf Children’s Family Day each year and this year’s event takes place on 22nd September from 1pm-4pm!

This year, the event is being organised by Jenn from the NHS Audiology team here at the Centre but the Deaf Children’s Family Day 2018 will still have many of your favourite features:

National Deaf Children’s Society Technology Roadshow
• Find out more about hearing and what hearing aids can do!
• Weather dependent barbecue where we will have burgers and hot dogs for purchase
• Games, Facepainting and lots of fun!
• BSL interpreter in attendance

This is a great chance to meet other families who have a child with mild hearing loss through to profound deafness. You can swap stories, suggestions and get support all at the same time while the kids make new friends in a safe environment.

Food is being supplied by Malcolm Allan Family Butchers and Asda. Larbert Fire Service will hopefully be along too along with many others!

It would help us greatly if you could register your intention to come along either by text to 07341 560709
or email to sensory@forthvalleysensorycentre.org as this will allow us to cater properly.

All we need to know is a surname, and how many will be in your group, and that it’s the event on September 22nd you’ll be coming to.

Thanks and we hope to see you there! For inspiration take a look at last year’s event!
