Bus Station Closure

The prospect of the Falkirk Bus Station closure has alarmed many Centre Users who rely on public transport to get around and we have arranged a consultation with First Bus to discuss concerns on Monday 30th July from 11am to 12noon.

First Bus East recently held an information event in The Howgate Shopping Centre but we appreciate not everyone could make it along. Jason Hackett, Operations Manager at the Larbert Depot is sending along a staff memeber to Forth Valley Sensory Centre to discuss the proposed changes and outline the way forward.

Publicity Manager, Martin Allen said:

“We’ve built up a good relationship with Jason and his team and are very happy that he has agreed to meet our Centre Users to address their concerns about the possible bus station closure at this time.

“Many of the key services run right past the Centre on the way to the depot which is just down the road from us and people with sight loss often have carefully planned routines and changes can be difficult to manage. We appreciate the time being taken to help out Centre Users.”

The meeting is open to all Centre users and BSL interpretation will be available.
