NHS Forth Valley Disability Equality & Access Service core opening hours are 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday
Appointments are available out with these times, for visitors to the service but must be pre-arranged and planned.
The service covers the Forth Valley community from Tyndrum in the North to Bo’ness in the south.
The team consists of:
- Disability Advisor – team manager, training, advice and guidance
- Disability Equality Advisor – training, advice, interpretation/languages other than English
- Disability Administrative Co-ordinator – interpretation/Deaf BSL community
We are here to assist NHS staff, patients, carers and visitors to have equality of support and access to information and services across all health journeys.
The service also manages interpretation and translation services for NHS Forth Valley staff and service users for all health related appointments.
NHS Forth Valley Staff are responsible for making sure interpretation is booked by calling the Disability Equality & Access Service direct on: 01324 590886, this service is available 24/7.
All interpreters and translators are fully qualified to undertake this role and work to a code of conduct.
